VKNRL School of Nursing, a CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative by Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari was established in the year 2017. Located in the midst of tea garden and adjacent to Kaziranga National Park, the institute is the cynosure of all eyes. It aims to prepare the students in academics as well as other aspects including moral and spiritual development as Yoga, Pranayama, Exercise, Sports, Spiritual activities, so that they can provide care in a holistic approach, while addressing the global demand for qualified nurses.

The school is managed by the VKNRL Nursing School Trust, comprising of members from both NRL and Vivekananda Kendra. Since inception, the school has been providing nursing education at very low cost to the students from poor economic background.

Vivekananda Kendra, a renowned service organization, is guided by the principles of Swami Vivekananda, who emphasized man-making and nation-building as fundamental objectives. Swami Vivekananda believed in serving humanity and recognized the plight of impoverished individuals, advocating for dedicated efforts to improve their lives through compassion and action.
